Hi, I’m Zach. The founder of The Youth Career Counsellor (TYCC).
I started TYCC because I know first-hand what it feels like to be lost, stuck or unsure of where to begin. That uncertainty shaped my early adult years and it’s the reason I’ve dedicated my career to making the path clearer for the next generation of Western Australian youths.
For over a decade, I’ve supported young people through some of life’s biggest transitions: choosing subjects, finding their first job, navigating TAFE/Uni or changing direction entirely. My background spans mental health services, retail, career coaching and consulting all grounded in lived experience and a deep understanding of what it means to grow up in today’s unpredictable world.
I built TYCC because too many young people were slipping through the cracks. I saw classmates, friends and later clients overwhelmed by pressure, misunderstood by the system and left without the guidance they needed. Parents, teachers and mentors all cared but there was no clear, coordinated plan.
That’s where TYCC comes in. We exist to be that plan: personalised, practical support that gives young people clarity, confidence and the tools to thrive in a changing future.
